About
In last year’s annual report, we focused on showcasing OCAS’ history (est. in 1991) and our goals (providing solutions ranging from managing student applications to providing support, data management and analytics, website services, and more).
This year, we’d like to share more about how OCAS works by shedding light on our structure. That way, our partners and the people interested in working with (or for) us understand our core functions and how we collaborate across the organization and beyond.
With OCAS more active than ever in the college system, it’s part of our effort to bring our new focus and energy into our partnerships.

Our Structure
Under our Chief Information Officer, you’ll find our technology teams, or the teams that ensure our critical products – like the domestic and international applications – are consistently optimized for learners and our partners in higher education. These teams, which include software developers, quality analysts, and systems analysts, also ensure key systems at OCAS are safe and secure.
Our Chief Administrative Officer manages the teams that ensure OCAS is fiscally viable, compliant, on track to meet critical deadlines, and ensure our organization maintains its positive workplace culture. These teams include human resources managers, financial analysts, project managers, and governance analysts, among other roles.
Our Vice President, Research, Product, and Innovation focuses on overseeing the teams that leverage data and our strong relationships in the college system to help our partners with innovation, program development, recruitment, enrolment, and more. Our Product Management and Applied Research teams constantly refine our existing products and explore the data collected through the domestic and international applications, while our Innovation team focuses on helping our partners anticipate the impact of evolving technology on the education landscape. Overall, we lean heavily on these teams to identify and act on key trends the moment they emerge.
Our Vice President, Partner Relations is responsible for researching, consolidating, and sharing insights from our partners in the college system with the rest of OCAS. As such, they play a vital role in ensuring OCAS’ direction remains aligned with the needs of our partners. The teams that fall under their purview – like Strategic Initiatives, Contact Centre, and Brand, Marketing, and Communications – are heavily focused on interacting with, and advocating for, our higher education partners.
Last but certainly not least, our President and CEO focuses on representing OCAS in the college system, inspiring our teams to effectively support our partners in higher education, and ensuring we continue to operate in alignment with our core values. They also lead our organization’s direction through strategic planning that ensures we provide the highest standard of service delivery to our partners while identifying future opportunities for innovation and technological advancements.
Together, the leaders in these roles and the rest of the OCAS team strive to deliver innovative services to Ontario’s public colleges, supporting both the success of their institutions and the journeys of prospective students.
